बनारस शिव से कभी मुक्त नही, जब से आये कैलाश न गये। बनारसी की मस्ती को लिखा नही जा सकता अनुभव होता है। अद्भूद है ये शहर जिन्दगी जीनेका तरीका कुछ ठहरा हुआ है पर सुख ठहराव में है द्रुतविलंबित में नही. मध्यम में है इसको जीनेवाला है यह नगर। नटराज यहां विश्वेश्वर के रुप में विराजते है इसलिये श्मशान पर भी मस्ती का आलम है। जनजन् शंकरवत् है। इस का अनुभव ही आनन्द है ये जान कर जीना बनारस का जीना है जीवन रस को बना के जीना है।
